Competitive Students
Every year, many of our dancers represent TAPPs Performing Arts by participating in competitions across Ontario and beyond. During these events, dancers have the opportunity to compete to win medals, trophies and other awards both for themselves and the studio.
What You Need to Know
Anyone interested in becoming a part of our competitive team is required to enrol in a mandatory ballet class; this will help prepare dancers and offer support to their dance practice through improved flexibility, strength and precision. This mandatory class is required, regardless of dance discipline.
Please note that anyone interested in competing with a solo number, will be required to also enrol in group study of their desired solo discipline. For example, if you would like to perform a tap solo, you must also be enrolled in a group tap class.
